Seán
Lynch
Sean Lynch, (born Kerry 1978) lives and works in Askeaton, Limerick, Ireland. He studied at the Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main and Limerick School of Art and Design, LIT. He represented Ireland the the Venice Biennale in 2015. He has recently held solo exhibitions at The Rose Art Museum, Boston, Modern Art Oxford and Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, amongst others. His artworks have been further exhibited at the Camden Arts Centre, London, CAPC Bordeaux, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, Neugerriemschneider, Berlin and Frankfurter Kunstverein, Frankfurt am Main.
In 2016 he is the Audain Distinguished Artist-in-Residence at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Vancouver and is now preparing for upcoming solo exhibitions at the Charles H. Scott Gallery, Vancouver and the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin. Since 2006 has coorganised the residency and exhibition programme with Michele Horrigan in Askeaton Contemporary Arts, County Limerick.
Lynch is represented by Kevin Kavanagh Gallery, Dublin and Ronchini Gallery, London, and is author and editor of many artist publications and book works.
